The closest lodging to the ski area; located mid-way between South Fork and the Wolf Creek ski area in a beautiful mountain valley. Wolf Creek Ranch Ski Lodge offers a variety of comfortable, Pet Friendly lodgings. The south fork of the Rio Grande wanders through the valley singing it's merry song. It offers good trout fishing along with the many lakes and ponds within a few miles. Wildlife is often sighted in the back country such as deer, elk, moose and various types of mountain birds. In the summer the hummingbirds nest and raise their young in the spruce forest here in our valley. Here at the ranch we offer horseback riding in the summer and sleigh rides when the snow gets deep. The area offers outstanding scenery and is often referred to as the "old Colorado". The folks and critters of the area are "down home and back country" neighbors (for the most part).
